The HR Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering efficient, compliant and people-focused HR services across the organisation. Responsible for leading the end-to-end HR lifecycle, this role ensures employee movements, position management and employment changes are managed accurately and in accordance with legislative requirements, industrial instruments and Council policies.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, employee movements, position management and offboarding, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
- Partner closely with Payroll to ensure employees are onboarded, paid correctly and all employment changes are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Apply strong governance and quality assurance practices to ensure HR processes, documentation and employee records comply with relevant legislation, industrial instruments, policies and governance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, implement automation solutions and drive continuous improvement across HR operations.
- Develop, review and implement HR business processes that support organisational objectives while improving efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare and manage employee relations correspondence and support the delivery of key HR programs and initiatives, including performance review processes and the Alcohol and Other Drugs framework.

You will:
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline and/or possess equivalent experience in a similar HR operations role, preferably within a complex or multidisciplinary organisation.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of contemporary HR operations, employment legislation, industrial instruments and HR governance, with the ability to apply policies and procedures accurately and consistently.
- Have experience managing end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employment changes, position management and offboarding.
- Possess exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and compliance.

- Package: $111,776-$124,574 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
