About AMCCF
Australian Multicultural Community Centre Foundation Limited (AMCCF) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting social inclusion, wellbeing, and community participation among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. Through innovative programs, partnerships, and community initiatives, AMCCF supports individuals, families, carers, older persons, and newly arrived communities to build connections, access services, and improve their overall wellbeing.
The Multicultural Carers Connection Hub is a monthly community program designed to provide unpaid carers from multicultural backgrounds with opportunities for information sharing, peer support, wellbeing activities, and connection to local services.
The Role
This is a casual / sessional engagement of approximately 4-6 hours per month, with opportunities for additional hours during community events and special activities. Location: Homestead Community and Learning Centre, Roxburgh Park VIC and/or the AMCCF Office. Reports to the Program Coordinator / Director.
Position Purpose
The Community Facilitator - Trilingual (Assyrian/Arabic/English) plays an important role in supporting the successful delivery of the Multicultural Carers Connection Hub. The facilitator will help create a culturally safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for participants while supporting community discussions, wellbeing activities, and presentations delivered by guest speakers and service providers. The role is ideally suited to someone passionate about community engagement, with strong multilingual communication skills, who enjoys working with culturally diverse groups.
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
