Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, implement, automate, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, containerization, and monitoring tools. Experience in Telecom environments, including large-scale network platforms, OSS/BSS systems, or communication services, will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application delivery and automation.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar technologies.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred).
- Automate deployment, configuration management, and operational processes using scripting and DevOps tools.
- Monitor system performance, availability, security, and reliability using cloud monitoring and logging solutions.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to improve software delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Support cloud migration, optimization, and cost management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and automation scripts.
Required Technical Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including:
- Compute Engine
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Cloud Storage
- Cloud SQL
- Cloud Functions / Cloud Run
- VPC, IAM, Load Balancing, and Cloud Monitoring
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as:
- Jenkins
- GitLab CI/CD
- Cloud Build
- GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with Git-based source control and branching strategies.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Google Cloud Operations Suite, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.Preferred Telecom Domain Experience
- Experience working with Telecom operators, service providers, or communication platforms.
- Understanding of Telecom architecture, OSS/BSS systems, network services, or cloud-native telecom workloads.
- Experience supporting high-availability, large-scale production environments.
- Knowledge of telecom protocols, network functions virtualization (NFV), or cloud-native network functions (CNFs) is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA/CKAD.
- Terraform Associate certification.
