What your day could look like
As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting safe, timely access to medicines for patients across the service. From coordinating medication supply to assisting with patient-focused activities, you'll be part of a collaborative team working to improve health outcomes in a regional community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Supporting the delivery and supply of medications, helping ensure patients receive the right treatment at the right time
Working closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to maintain smooth, coordinated care across wards and services
Guiding and supporting team members, contributing to a capable and confident pharmacy support workforce
Strengthening processes and quality practices that enhance safety, efficiency, and patient experience

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
A relevant pharmacy support qualification and strong understanding of pharmacy services
Experience managing workload priorities and working independently within scope
Confident communication skills that build trust with colleagues and patients
Solid computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records and reports
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in a hospital or regional healthcare setting and/or familiarity with pharmacy information systems.
