We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team in a full-time capacity.
About the Role
The successful applicant will support the delivery of quality education and care for children, contribute to daily routines, assist with learning experiences, maintain documentation, and build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality education and care for children in accordance with the National Quality Framework, National Law, National Regulations and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Supervise and ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of children in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Implement age-appropriate learning experiences and play-based activities that support children’s physical, emotional, social and cognitive development.
- Observe children’s learning and development and maintain accurate learning records and documentation.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, rest periods and personal care where required.
- Participate in family engagement activities, centre events and community initiatives, including assisting with the preparation of educational resources and communications as required.
- Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues, and communicate effectively regarding children’s wellbeing and daily activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with organisational policies, regulatory requirements and child safety obligations.
- Work collaboratively with educators across multiple childcare services where operationally required.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the service through teamwork and initiatives that promote continuous quality improvement and quality outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or recognised equivalent.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain before commencement.
- Demonstrated experience working within an approved education and care service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple service locations where operationally required.
Employment Details
- Full-Time position.
- 38 hours per week.
- Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
- Primary workplace: Waikiki.
- Work across other My World Child Care services may be required from time to time.
