Australian Survey Solutions is an award-winning boutique surveying consultancy based in the beautiful Southern Highlands. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Survey Technician/Graduate Surveyor to join our close-knit team. We believe our people are our greatest asset and are committed to ongoing mentoring, professional development and creating a workplace where surveying is both challenging and enjoyable.
We principally specialise in cadastral surveying, with strong elements of town planning and project management. You will hold a Bachelor of Surveying or TAFE Diploma in Surveying (or equivalent) and have substantial practical surveying experience, including leading field parties and managing projects. This experience will have provided you with a solid understanding of the industry and the ability to work professionally, independently and as part of a team.
You’ll work across both field and office environments, playing a key role in the successful delivery of projects, including:
- Undertake calculations and provide technical advice
- Manage the preparation of plans and reports for clients
- Oversee projects and liaise with clients
- Manage your own workload while working collaboratively within the broader team
Your time-management and confident communication skills will be exercised daily, enabling you to work with a variety of people including clients, project managers, independent consultants, and other stakeholders.
Core works include:
- Construction and civil surveying with set out
- Land development and cadastral projects
- Work as executed surveys
- Detail and topographic surveys
- Adhering to the Company’s QA and safety policies and procedures
You’ll also have experience using the following (or equivalent):
· Trimble GNSS
· Trimble Total Station
· Trimble Laser Scanner
· DJI Drone (desirable)
· Commercial software such as Magnet and AutoCAD and Microsoft 365
Required: Manual driver’s licence
