About the role
The Coffee Club is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Duty Manager to join our vibrant team in Ballarat Central VIC 3350. If you have a love for coffee, an eye for detail, and strong leadership skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our vibrant cafe.
As a Cafe Duty Manager, you will be the driving force behind ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflows, and the financial success of the business. Your strategic leadership and hands-on approach will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering an outstanding cafe experience for our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Help in managing and overseeing all day-to-day cafe operations
- Ensure consistently high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive customer traffic and increase sales
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, leading and motivating a team of passionate staff
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance the customer experience
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Maintain inventory and manage stock levels
- Prepare high-quality coffee beverages
What we're looking for
- Minimum 4 years of barista experience in a fast-paced café environment.
- Proficiency in latte art and advanced coffee-making techniques.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cafe operations, including inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A passion for coffee, café culture, and knowledge of the craft of coffee-making.
