Join our team as a Bagging Supervisor
Flegler Group is looking for a reliable and experienced Bunch Bagging Machines Supervisor to join our team at our Tully Gorge Road farm. This is a hands-on paddock role. This is not a stand-back supervisory role — you will be expected to supervise staff while also carrying out bagging work yourself.
Applicants must have experience in this field, including operating bagging machines used to place bags over bunches.
We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic and reliable person to fulfil a Bunch Bagging Machines Supervisor role. Reporting to management, you will assist with daily bagging operations, supervise staff in the field, and work directly with the team to ensure bagging is completed safely, efficiently and to standard.
You will be reliable and able to consistently turn up to work.
You will communicate well and be confident managing a team in the paddock.
You will be keen to work with a company that pays above award rates and is safety conscious.
- Supervise and support staff carrying out bagging operations
- Work hands-on in bagging operations alongside the team
- Operate bagging machines used to place bags over bunches
- Help maintain bagging quality, timing and paddock presentation
- Monitor safe work practices and daily workflow
- Assist with training and day-to-day coordination of team members
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Implementation of safety processes in accordance with WHS Qld
- Previous farm or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong practical experience in bagging operations
- Experience operating bagging machines is essential
- Ability to lead from the front and work alongside the crew
- Strong attention to consistency, quality and safety
- Must have experience in bagging operations and operating bagging machines
- A can do attitude
- Reliability, trustworthiness and tidiness are highly valued
- Good communication skills
