The Regional Digital Business team helps regional communities build commercially sustainable digital businesses so they can benefit from the social and economic opportunities created by greater participation in the digital economy. As Senior Program Officer, you will support the delivery of program initiatives aligned with the Digital Investment & Strategy portfolio objectives, including high-profile whole-ofgovernment and departmental digital initiatives.
Your responsibilities
As the Senior Program Officer, you will:
- Support the team with day-to-day program and project management and coordination.
- Develop and maintain project governance tools, templates and documentation, to meet departmental and government reporting obligations.
- Produce correspondence, collateral, presentations, project board papers, briefing notes and status reports for stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Support Program Manager to map out deliverables, milestones and resource requirements to meet program schedules.
- Support Program Manager to identify and assess risk, issues, mitigation and escalation strategies.
- Assist with coordination and facilitation of project governance meetings.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, and stakeholders across Government to promote collaboration.
- Assist with grant funding administration, including development, disbursement and financial reporting process.
- Undertake other program/project activities as required.
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project and program management methodologies, principles, governance and reporting.
- High level written communication skills to produce correspondence, collateral, presentations, project board papers, briefing notes, and status report for stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders to collaborate, facilitate, share information, engage and create connections.
- Highly developed organisational skills to support coordination and delivery of program objectives.
- Knowledge of grant management and administration, including processes for development, disbursement and financial reporting.
- Ability to lead and achieve results in a high profile, fast paced environment with changing demands.
Role requirements:
- Nil mandatory qualifications and/or conditions required.
- Work experience or proficiency in grant funding administration, including development, disbursement and financial reporting process would be highly regarded.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and other collaboration tools is highly desirable.
