Job Description
We're looking for a passionate and people-focused Front Office Manager to lead the team that creates first impressions, lasting memories and those "we can't wait to come back" moments.
Located in beautiful Yamba, Blue Dolphin Resort is one of Australia's favourite holiday destinations, welcoming families, couples and adventure-seekers year-round. As Front Office Manager, you'll play a key leadership role within the resort, leading a high-performing team and helping deliver exceptional guest experiences from check-in to check-out.
This is a full-time salaried position reporting directly to the General Manager and forming part of the resort's leadership team.
Our Front Office operates 7 days a week, with opening hours varying seasonally. Flexibility across weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods is essential.
What you'll do:
As the leader of our Front Office team, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming, efficient and memorable guest experience while ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing Front Office team.

Oversee the day-to-day operation of reception, guest services and reservations.

Create outstanding guest experiences and act as the escalation point for guest enquiries when required.

Manage team rosters, training and performance to ensure service excellence.

Collaborate with all resort departments to deliver seamless guest stays.

Contribute to operational improvements and help drive the continued success of the resort as a member of the leadership team.
What you'll bring:

Previous leadership experience within Front Office, Guest Services, Hospitality or Tourism.

A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.

Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

A willingness to lead from the front.

The ability to remain calm and professional whilst managing competing priorities.

Experience with reservation or property management systems (RMS, NewBook or similar will be highly regarded).

Flexibility to work across a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends, public holidays and busy holiday periods.
