We are seeking experienced and talented chefs to join our team at The Boatshed La Perouse in La Perouse NSW 2036. These multiple full-time roles are an exciting opportunity to be a key part of our vibrant restaurant and contribute to the overall success of our business.
Chef responsibilities

- Responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality, creative dishes using fresh,seasonal ingredients
- Maintaining excellent standard of food presentation and portion control
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and optimisekitchen operation
- Work closely with the Head Chef, Restaurant Managers to monitor feedback onpopularity of all dishes
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assisting with inventory management and stock control
- Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive team culture
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment ensuring compliance with allfood safety legislation and food handling policies and procedures
- Managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
- Foster open communication within the kitchen team to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
- Coordinate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and timely food delivery.

What we're looking for
- Significant relevant experience in a reputable restaurant or similar hospitality establishment (1 year minimum)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavour profiles and current food trends
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
- Ability to lead team and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality, Culinary Arts or a related field
