About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker with excellent communication skills to support a client in accessing the community and building greater independence. You’ll work one-on-one with the client to attend appointments, participate in recreational activities, and develop confidence in social settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the client to access and engage in community activities (e.g., work, appointments, social outings and sporting events)
- Encourage independence, social inclusion, and skill-building
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with the client, family, and stakeholders
- Ensure the client’s dignity, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised
- Follow individualised support plans and maintain accurate documentation
- Highly engaging participant
- Participant in Doncaster East - work local
About You:
- Mental health experience is highly regarded
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage routines in the community
- Empathetic, professional, and person-centred approach to care
Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
