CHEF DE PARTIE – FULL-TIME
Eating House Rowville is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our established kitchen team.
Operating since 2004, Eating House is a busy, premium-casual restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Our extensive menu includes modern Australian dishes, steaks, seafood, pasta, pizza, breakfast and functions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with our Head Chef and senior kitchen team, you will be responsible for:
- Confidently managing an allocated section during busy services
- Preparing and cooking dishes consistently to our established recipes and presentation standards
- Completing daily preparation accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining excellent food quality, portion control and presentation
- Following food-safety, allergen and hygiene procedures
- Monitoring stock rotation, storage and wastage
- Keeping your section clean, organised and service-ready
- Communicating effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Supporting and guiding junior kitchen staff when required
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef in a busy restaurant
- Confidence working under pressure during high-volume services
- Strong preparation, cooking and organisational skills
- Consistent attention to quality, presentation and portion control
- Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- A reliable, professional and team-focused approach
- Availability across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends
- Australian working rights
A relevant commercial cookery qualification is preferred.
