We are a small artisan bakery in Melbourne CBD, passionate about quality coffee, handcrafted pastries, and warm customer service. We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Barista / All Rounder to join our growing team.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has barista experience and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail.
- Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and good communication.
- Is organised, proactive, and able to solve problems confidently.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee and beverages to our standard.
- Create basic latte art.
- Maintain a clean and organised coffee station and service area.
- Take customer orders and provide friendly service.
- Serve pastries and baked goods.
- Recommend products and answer customer questions.
- Understand basic food allergy information and communicate it to customers when needed.
- Ensure consistent drink quality.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Open or close the shop when required.
- Confidently manage the coffee bar independently during quieter shifts.
We’ll provide training to help you succeed, but we’re looking for someone who already has a solid foundation in barista skills.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of barista experience preferred.
- Available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week (at least 2 days per week).
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Full Australian working rights or a valid visa.
