RELIEF CHEF
Full-Time | South and North of the River Facilities
Location
We are seeking two experienced Relief Chefs to provide support across our Aegis facilities:
North of the River: Relief Chef based North of the River to work across our North of the River facilities and South of the River: Relief Chef based South of the River to work across our South of the River facilities.
About the Role
A working day will include Relief Chef for the South and North of the River facilities supporting the Chef Manager.

Good knowledge and experience in training and mentoring.

Role involves training and supporting our cooks, as well as assisting with Central Office projects and tasks as required.

Organising kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals.

Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary plans and menus developed.

Managing receipt of stores, and food storage according to the relevant regulations.

Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
About You
You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

Enjoys working with the elderly.

Can work independently and as part of a team.
-
Is able to supervise, organise and guide staff, to deliver high quality catering outcomes.

Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.

Can communicate effectively both verbally and written.
You should possess the following:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).

Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.

Aged Care experience is highly preferred.

A high level of food safety knowledge.

Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
