About the Role
We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with Australian public practice experience who is looking to continue developing their accounting and taxation career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns
- Prepare BAS, IAS and FBT returns
- Prepare journals, reconciliations and working papers
- Liaise with clients and the ATO
- Assist with tax planning and compliance matters
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with an Accounting major
- 2+ years' experience in Australian public accounting
- Currently studying towards, partially completed, or completed CA/CPA
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation and accounting principles
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail
