Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.

About the role
This is a full time, ongoing position based at our Port Melbourne office, with hybrid working arrangements.
You will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the People & Culture function. You will provide high‑quality administrative support across the employee lifecycle, maintain accurate records and systems, and contribute to a positive employee experience across the organisation. Additionally, you will:

Act as the first point of contact for P&C queries via the shared inbox, providing timely responses and triaging requests

Coordinate onboarding, offboarding and employment changes, including preparing documentation and updating HR systems

Maintain accurate employee records, registers and trackers, ensuring data is up to date and handled confidentially

Support recruitment administration including posting ads, coordinating interviews and completing pre‑employment checks
- Assist with OHS and injury management administration, including maintaining records, coordinating meetings and supporting claims processes

Contribute to P&C programs and continuous improvement initiatives, and provide general administrative support as required across the team
About you
You are a highly organised administrator who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment. You deliver accurate work, build strong relationships, and handle sensitive information with care while supporting smooth P&C operations. You will bring:

Demonstrated experience working in an administrative or People & Culture/HR support role

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Experience maintaining accurate records, systems and trackers with a high level of attention to detail
-
Proven ability to manage tasks independently and follow processes through to completion

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with experience supporting a range of stakeholders

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check is required (or willingness to obtain)
