About Forensicare
A career in the forensic mental health sector is diverse, challenging and rewarding. A career at Forensicare will be like no other. If you’re passionate about supporting people in their mental health recovery, Forensicare is where you need to be. You will be a part of a caring and supportive team, making a real difference to people living with the dual stigma of mental illness and offending. We approach our work with curiosity and a commitment to understanding the unique needs of our consumers and carers. Working across community, hospital and prison settings, you can learn, apply your specialist skills and advance in your profession. Together, we can contribute to a more connected, compassionate mental health and criminal justice system
About the role:
This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-impact, organisation-wide initiative that will shape how Forensicare engages with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
As the Project Lead – NDIS Framework Development, you will design and deliver a comprehensive framework to strengthen Forensicare’s interface with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and NDIS-funded services. Working across clinical, operational and corporate teams, you will drive system-wide improvement to enhance access, pathways and outcomes for consumers.
You will:
- Lead the development and early implementation of an organisation-wide NDIS framework
- Engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Map and improve consumer pathways to NDIS access, identifying barriers and opportunities
- Translate best-practice research into practical, sustainable solutions
- Establish governance structures, working groups and consultation processes
- Develop tools, protocols and guidance to build workforce capability
- Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement
About you:
You are a strategic and collaborative project leader with a strong understanding of complex service systems. You bring a mix of analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to turn ideas into practical, scalable solutions.
You will bring:
- Proven experience leading complex, organisation-wide projects, ideally within health, mental health, justice or other regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and co-design solutions
- A collaborative and consultative approach, working effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible information
- Strong analytical and research capability, using evidence to inform decision-making
- Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments
What you need:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS and NDIA systems, including eligibility, planning and funding pathways
- Experience managing full project lifecycles — from planning and stakeholder engagement through to implementation and evaluation
- Strong report writing and documentation skills (e.g. frameworks, briefing papers, implementation plans)
- Experience using data and insights to monitor performance and guide improvements
- The ability to design and implement practical strategies that improve access and engagement within complex systems.
