About the role
As Qscan Group continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll across a diverse, multi-site workforce.
You'll play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and compliance, supporting employees with payroll-related enquiries, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance payroll processes and services.
This is a hands-on role suited to a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes.
Based at our Clayfield Support Office, this permanent full-time role offers hybrid working flexibility after your initial onboarding.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing and reconciling fortnightly payroll for our workforce of 1,400+ employees
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll information in iChris
- Interpreting and applying Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Responding to employee payroll queries in a timely and accurate manner
- Calculating termination and final pay entitlements
- Supporting monthly superannuation and payroll reconciliations
- Completing month-end payroll and reporting
- Processing and reconciling payroll deductions
- Maintaining employee records, including allowances, deductions and leave
- Processing timesheets and interpreting relevant award provisions
- Supporting the Payroll Manager with payroll activities and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
You’ll be an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge and a genuine commitment to providing great service to our people.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a multi-site organisation
- Experience using iChris (highly desirable), with HumanForce experience also valued
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation
- Experience interpreting and applying Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Advanced analytical skills and an uncompromising attention to detail
- Experience within the healthcare industry, with knowledge of relevant awards
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service focus
