Elementary Academy Early Learning is a family-operated early learning centre in Merrylands NSW, and we are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated Centre Director to join our team.
Our centre is only 2 years old and licensed for 60 children, making this an exciting opportunity for a leader who wants to be part of a growing centre and play a genuine role in shaping its future.
We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and passionate about early childhood education — someone who can lead from the front, build a strong team culture and take ownership of the centre's day-to-day operations and ongoing growth.
About You -
We are looking for an experienced childcare leader with:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Centre Director or in a similar senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the NQF, NQS, EYLF and NSW regulatory requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing an early childhood team
- Strong knowledge of staffing, rostering and centre operations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with family engagement, enrolments and occupancy growth
- Strong understanding of compliance, policies, procedures and continuous improvement
- Ability to mentor, motivate and support educators to achieve their best
- Excellent organisational, administrative and time-management skills
- A genuine passion for children, families and quality early learning
- A proactive attitude and the ability to confidently make decisions and solve problems
The Role -
As Centre Director, you will take responsibility for the overall leadership and operation of the centre, including:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting the educator team
- Ensuring high-quality education and care is consistently provided
- Maintaining strong compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Managing staffing, rosters, performance and professional development
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Supporting enrolments, occupancy and centre growth
- Overseeing policies, procedures and continuous improvement
- Supporting programming, curriculum and the implementation of the EYLF
- Maintaining a positive, professional and collaborative workplace culture
- Working closely with the owners to continually develop and improve the centre
- Ensuring the centre is a welcoming environment where children, families and educators feel valued
