About the Department
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Workforce, System and Family Supports Division in the Early Childhood Education Group leads the implementation of policy and programs to support the implementation of the Best Start Best Life Reforms, with a focus on increasing the supply of the early childhood education workforce.
Team
The Practitioner and Leadership Development team is responsible for:
- delivering professional learning, communities of practice and engagement opportunities for early childhood leaders and teachers via the Early Years Learning Networks for teachers and educators, and the Early Learning Leadership Forums and Evening Leadership Series for sector leaders.
- coordinating the development of content for early childhood leadership events and event logistics
- contract management of suppliers contributing to early childhood leadership events
- program evaluation, including data collection, analysis and reporting
- continuous improvement of the Practitioner and Leadership Development program.
