Our client, Aulakh Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join their team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications in line with project requirements
- Complying with site safety procedures, occupational health and safety standards, and correct use of PPE
- Assembling and dismantling restricted height scaffolding to safely access elevated work areas
- Assessing work areas and calculating material quantities to ensure accurate application
- Selecting and operating appropriate tools, equipment, and machinery for masonry tasks
- Applying damp proofing materials and preparing mortar for brickwork and blockwork
- Setting out work using string lines, laser levels, dumpy levels, and plumb lines to ensure precise alignment
- Laying bricks and blocks in various patterns with even mortar joints and a clean finish
- Cutting, shaping, and adjusting bricks, blocks, and stone using hand tools and power machinery
- Constructing walls using stone slabs, large masonry blocks, and segmental paving systems
- Inspecting completed work to confirm accuracy, alignment, and quality standards
- Carrying out repair, maintenance, and restoration of brickwork, blockwork, and masonry structures
- Managing materials and liaising with clients to provide job assessments, cost estimates, and quotations.
Qualifications and other requirements:
- Certificate III or equivalent qualification in bricklaying.
- Recent 1 year of full-time relevant experience working as a bricklayer in last five years.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and construction standards.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lead and work effectively as part of team.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision.
- Ability work with flexible hours including weekends.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
