Project Officer
- Salary: $81,496 - $98,955 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term role: until 16 March 2027
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)

The Role
The Project Officer role supports the Risk Services team as part of the Strategic Audit and Assurance Unit within the Strategy Performance and Governance Branch. The role will provide direct support to the respective Managers, team members and the wider Strategy, Performance and Governance Branch where required.
Main accountabilities:
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Risk Services team, including coordinating meetings, maintaining records, action lists and shared resources, and preparing documentation to support team priorities.
- Support the administration of the department's enterprise risk management system and related processes, including maintaining system information, assisting users, responding to routine enquiries, and escalating issues where required.
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing administration of the department's risk management framework, including maintaining risk registers, templates, guidance materials and supporting documentation to promote consistent risk management practices.
The Team
The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Strategy, Performance and Governance branch within the Corporate Services group.
The Corporate Services group consists of specialist functions including finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services and emergency management.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience providing project and administrative support in a team environment, including coordinating meetings, maintaining records and action lists, preparing documentation, and supporting the delivery of team priorities.
- Strong verbal communication and interpretation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and work as part of a team to deliver priorities.
- Well-developed written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate and concise reports, correspondence, briefing materials and presentations for review.
