Your responsibilities
As Manager you will:
- Lead a team in the delivery of system re-design and commissioning in relation to child and family services.
- Research and advise on contemporary commissioning and program frameworks, based on evidence and best practice locally, nationally and internationally.
- Ensure the delivery of high-level analysis, advice and recommendations of innovative approaches to new trends and issues that impact on service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
- Implement effective coordination and collaboration mechanisms with program, policy and regional stakeholders to ensure effective liaison and to inform the development, monitoring and review of key business requirements.
- Manage development and implementation, consistent with government commitments and directions set by the Minister and Director-General, meeting all deadlines and performance requirements, within budget while building the capacity of team members.
- Develop and maintain productive partnerships with a range of stakeholders across government and non-government sectors to ensure the successful design and delivery of programs and represent the unit on committees and working groups.
- Prepare high level strategic analysis and advice to assist the Director and Senior Executive Director to advise the Minister, Director-General and senior management.
- Contribute to strategic program frameworks, Cabinet Budget Review Committee submissions and evaluation models to enable government to deliver its Child and Family Services reform agenda.

- You possess extensive knowledge of current policies, practices, trends, and philosophies relating to the provision of human and social services.
