What you’ll be doing
As a Provisional Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Urogynaecology), you will provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in urogynaecological practice, in a complex clinical environment, with the opportunity to participate in departmental research and teaching. You will also be required to be on an on call obstetric weekend roster and required to undertake ward rounds.
The role will offer you exposure to Urogynecological Surgery at both at St George Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women
The training program offers a wide variety of experiences in urogynaecology and trainees are exposed to a wide spectrum of clinical and surgical training opportunities, and clinical care in normal hours and after hours. This training centre is accredited as a training unit to meet requirements of the Certificate in Urogynaecology (CU) Training Program for those trainees who are deemed appropriate by RANZCOG to train in the sub-specialty of Urognaecology.
The accredited position is available for junior medical officers with a minimum of five years' experience as trainee in obstetrics and gynaecology with prior experience of urogynaecology.

Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- At least five years’ experience with some prior experience in urogynaecology at trainee level. Being deemed appropriate for training in the subspecialty of urogynaecology by the RANZCOG CU training committee is desirable.
- Preparedness to participate in the after-hours obstetric roster.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
