We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network’s (SCHN) Communications and Engagement Directorate. In a collaborative and supportive environment, you will lead the strategic development, optimisation and ongoing management of SCHN’s web-based digital communication platforms, including the website and intranet. Using your expertise in digital communications, content management and stakeholder engagement, you will support a paper-lite, digital-first approach, ensuring online content is accessible, consistent, user-focused and aligned with both NSW Government standards and SCHN’s corporate identity.
You will work with internal stakeholders, content owners, digital agencies and Digital Health colleagues to improve platforms, support best-practice digital communication, provide reporting and lead continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a digital communications leader seeking to drive contemporary, accessible and effective digital engagement across SCHN.
What you'll be doing
The Communications and Engagement Directorate is responsible for implementing the communication, media and engagement strategies, maximising positive communication opportunities, and promoting the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN), its facilities and associated institutions.
The Digital Communications Manager leads the strategic development, optimisation and ongoing management of web-based digital communication platforms. The role fosters strong internal partnerships to ensure alignment, consistency of content and integrity of content and brand across digital channels.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in digital communications or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience, or a combination of study and work experience.

Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders to review, enhance and continuously improve online communications and website information architecture.

Proven capability to assess digital communications activities and provided informed advice to management on technical, operational and communications matters.

Extensive experience in web maintenance and content publishing using a range of content management systems, with strong awareness of emerging digital trends and technologies.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud for the development of high-quality digital and web-based materials.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, including management of complex stakeholder relationships to achieve business outcomes.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.
