The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
An opportunity exists for a dynamic Nursing Leader to join the Mental Health Service at Nepean Hospital as the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) – Triage and Assessment Centre and Intake and Referral Team.
This pivotal leadership role is responsible for the operational and clinical management of two key services that provide timely access to specialist Mental Health Assessment, Triage and Referral across the district. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead a highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, responsive and person-centred care for people experiencing Mental Health concerns. The Nurse Unit Manager provides strategic, operational and clinical leadership to the Triage and Assessment Centre and Intake and Referral Team, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based Mental Health services that meet the needs of consumers, families and carers.
You will be a Nursing Leader with a passion for delivering high-quality services and leading teams through collaboration, innovation and clinical excellence.
