Private construction company is seeking an experienced part-time lawyer to support our building and construction business. This role suits someone who can provide practical, commercially focused legal support across contracts, compliance, and project matters.
Key responsibilities
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts (head contracts, subcontracts, supply agreements and consultancy agreements)
- Provide general commercial and legal advice to management
- Assist with contract variations, claims, disputes and risk management
- Support compliance, insurance and subcontractor documentation
- Liaise with external solicitors as required
About you
- Experienced lawyer with a strong background in commercial law (construction experience highly regarded)
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
