About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Centre Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Trade Centre. This role is key to ensuring efficient product handling, excellent customer service, and smooth warehouse and distribution processes. You will work closely with the Trade Centre Manager and team to meet service level expectations and maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the daily operations of the Trade Centre
Support on-time, in-full delivery and service expectations for customers
Maintain high standards of customer service through effective communication and accurate end-to-end order processing
Process and generate documentation (e.g. ROSAs, Dangerous Goods paperwork, sales and delivery dockets, consignment notes)
Manage damaged stock appropriately
Liaise with customers and handle enquiries and complaints professionally
Undertake cycle counts and participate in stocktakes
Perform purchasing, dispatch, and invoicing tasks as required
Receive goods documentation and replenish stock (shelf packing)
Pick, pack, and dispatch orders; put away incoming stock
Tint paint and safely load/unload vehicles
Assist with reporting, data entry, and analysis (including replenishment and SLOB stock listings)
Maintain CHEP pallet hire account
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Trade Centre
Contribute to safety standards and 5S housekeeping practices
Communicate effectively with suppliers
Operate the Trade Centre in the absence of the Manager when required
Carry out general warehouse duties as needed
Ensure spills are managed promptly and environmental risks are mitigated
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues
About You
Solid understanding of stock movement and storage processes
Ability to perform manual handling tasks
Current Forklift Licence (essential)
SAP experience (desirable)
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
Customer-focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
