Sea Haven Support Services is a growing disability support service built around something pretty simple — genuine care, meaningful connection and support that actually feels personal.
We’re looking for compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
We aren't looking for someone who just wants to turn up, complete a list of tasks and go home. We want people who genuinely enjoy support work, take the time to get to know the person they're supporting, and understand that sometimes the little things make the biggest difference.
What the role may include
Depending on the participant and their individual needs, your shifts may involve:
- Personal care and daily living support
- Community access and social activities
- Transport and appointments
- Meal preparation and household assistance
- Medication assistance
- Supporting independence and individual goals
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Working with participants with physical disabilities and complex support needs
- Completing clear progress notes and required documentation
Who we'd love to hear from
You might be a great fit for Sea Haven if you're:
- Kind, patient and genuinely caring
- Reliable and able to work independently
- A confident and respectful communicator
- Comfortable building genuine professional relationships
- Someone who respects participant choice, dignity and independence
- Willing to learn and take feedback
- Comfortable providing community access and transport when required
Experience within disability support is highly regarded, particularly experience supporting participants with complex physical disabilities or MND, however the right personality and attitude matter enormously to us.
Requirements
Successful applicants will need, or be willing to obtain where appropriate:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Relevant disability/support qualification or experience
- Appropriate Australian working rights
