About the role:
As RACQ’s Payroll Business Partner, you'll own the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring our people are paid accurately, on time, every time. You'll be the go-to expert for payroll advice, compliance, and continuous improvement, partnering with leaders and key stakeholders to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

Manage accurate and timely fortnightly and monthly payroll processing.

Provide expert advice on payroll legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and employee entitlements.

Resolve complex payroll queries and issues with a customer-focused, risk-aware approach.

Partner with HR, Finance, and external agencies to ensure compliance and reporting obligations are met.

Support audits, reporting, year-end activities, and payroll-related projects.

Drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

12-month Fixed Term Contract
About you:
You are an experienced payroll professional who builds strong relationships and delivers exceptional service. Curious and solutions-focused, you enjoy partnering with stakeholders, improving processes, and providing practical payroll advice. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

5–7 years’ payroll experience with a qualification in Business, Finance, Payroll, or a related field.

Proven expertise delivering accurate end-to-end payroll and interpreting complex Enterprise Agreements and policies.

Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, leave entitlements, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, salary packaging, and deductions.

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse data, solve problems, and manage complex payroll matters.

Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach and the confidence to support and mentor others.

Highly organised, detail-focused, and trusted to manage confidential information.

Experience with Chris21 (Frontier Software) will be highly regarded.
