About the Role
We're looking for a warm, organised, and reliable Dental Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis, with a genuine pathway to a permanent part-time role.
Your starting roster will be approximately 19–23 hours per week across three days:
- Monday — Pitt St, Sydney CBD
- Tuesday — Parramatta Rd, Petersham
- Friday — Parramatta Rd, Petersham (shifting to Pitt St CBD from mid-August)
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and managing front-of-house operations
- Appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and patient follow-up communications
- Managing patient records, referrals, and clinical correspondence
- Processing payments, invoicing, and health fund claims (including HICAPS, DVA referrals, and hospital vouchers)
- Coordinating patient flow and liaising with prosthetists and clinical staff
- Managing stock, supplies, and day-to-day clinic logistics
- Keeping the clinic environment clean and prepared pre and post patient appointments
- Other reasonable duties as directed by your supervisor
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in a dental, medical, or allied health receptionist role
- Confident user of a practice management software (we use Dental 4 Web — training provided if needed)
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills — warm, professional, and patient-centred
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Full valid NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel between clinic sites
Desirable:
- Experience in a dental practice or denture clinic environment
- Familiarity with hospital vouchers, health fund processes, and DVA referrals
- Working knowledge of Xero
- Certificate or Diploma in Health Administration, Dental Assisting, or related field
