We are seeking to engage a Retail Manager with extensive experience in retail management, trade customer service and building material supply. The role is responsible for organizing and controlling our retail trading establishment, with a strong focus on stone products, renovation materials, project-based orders and customer support for builders, contractors, developers and retail clients. Qualification Requirements:
· Above bachelor’s degree from Australia or overseas tertiary education provider is a must;
· Must have a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in retail management, customer service, building materials, renovation products or construction-related supply.
· Strong communication skills required, including proficiency in English and Asian language including Mongolian.
· Strong background in store operations, trade sales, team leadership, stock control and sales performance within building, construction or renovation-related industries is highly desirable.
· Ability to manage staff, control stock, and deliver excellent customer service in fast-paced environments.
· Confidence and determination in problem solving to derive innovative solutions.
· Good work ethic and ability to work well within a team environment.
Roles and Responsibility:
This position will be responsible for organising and controlling the operations of a retail trading establishment supplying stone products, outdoor pavers, indoor benchtops and related renovation materials to builders, contractors, developers, retailers and residential customers. Relevant duties include but are not limited to the following:
Ø Manage store administration, product stock and reserve inventory, including stone slabs, pavers, benchtops, samples and project materials, while implementing loss prevention controls and statewide operational procedures;
Ø Define customer service standards and formulate policies for trade clients, project enquiries, product selection, quotation handling, order processing and after-sales support;
Ø Determine the product range, material combination, colour selection and display style according to building design trends, renovation demand, project specifications and customer requirements;
Ø Implement effective showroom merchandising strategies to display stone products, pavers and benchtop materials in a way that supports project sales and customer decision-making;
Ø Set sales targets, review product pricing, develop strategies to achieve project and retail sales goals, and analyse sales performance across trade, builder and retail customer segments;
Ø Implement promotional campaigns targeting builders, contractors, renovators, developers and homeowners to increase showroom traffic, trade enquiries and material sales;
Ø Contribute to advertising and promotion of the AUSK brand as a reliable supplier of quality stone, pavers, benchtops and renovation materials for the building industry;
Ø Provide customers with product introduction services, including stone type, finish, durability, application suitability, colour matching and renovation design suggestions based on different building or project requirements;
Ø Maintain clear records of store inventory, customer orders, quotations, delivery arrangements and sales performance to support accurate project tracking, stock verification and customer follow-up;
Ø Preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring the store operates within financial limits;
Ø Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate team members, and coach the sales team on product knowledge, trade customer service, quotation procedures, project communication, selling skills and professional showroom standards;
Ø Ensure the store complies with applicable laws, workplace health and safety requirements, product handling standards and safe practices for heavy building materials;
Ø Be proactive in developing relationships with builders, contractors, architects, designers, developers and renovation customers to generate new business opportunities;
Ø Nurture relationships with trade and retail clients through showroom service, follow-up communication, client database activities and project support in accordance with marketing guidelines;
Ø Be responsible for showroom presentation, safe storage areas, product displays, material samples, customer order follow-up and after-sales service requests, while supporting new digital and omnichannel initiatives that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
