STUDENT BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Our all Boy’s Primary School are seeking a Student Behaviour Support Assistant to join us on a 12 Weeks Fixed Term Part Time contract until 16th August 2026.
The Student Behaviour Support Assistant supports students to engage positively in school and learning by providing supervision, guidance and practical assistance guidance and practical assistance. Working as part of the Behaviour and Wellbeing Team, the role helps maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment for students who require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation or engagement in learning.
More about the role:
- Support students who require assistance with behaviour, engagement or emotional regulation.
- Assist students in and around the classroom, to settle, regulate and return to class when appropriate.
- Assist Behaviour Support staff with the implementation of behaviour support strategies.
- Provide support during student behaviour incidents as directed.
- Maintain accurate records using school systems, including Monday.com and SEQTA.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school leaders and wellbeing staff.
About you:
- Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
- Ability to support students in a positive and respectful manner.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and positive behaviour.
- Qualifications or study in Education Support, Youth Work, Community Services, Psychology or a related field.
- Experience supporting students with behavioural, social or emotional needs.
- Knowledge of behaviour support or wellbeing practices in schools
- Current Working with Children Check and any other mandatory child safety requirements.
