Opportunity for a practitioner (1-5 PQE) to join our Brisbane Insurance team focusing on motor vehicle insurance claims involving property damage.

The Role
A career opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer or Associate (1-5 years' PQE) to join our Insurance team in Brisbane. This role will see you acting for some of Australia’s largest insurers focusing on defendant motor vehicle insurance claims, recoveries, and settlement litigation involving property damage.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage a large caseload of motor vehicle property damage claims
- Advise insurers and corporate clients on liability, quantum, and recovery prospects
- Conduct litigation in Court, including drafting pleadings and appearing at hearings
- Negotiate settlements and manage alternative dispute resolution processes
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality legal services
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Between 1-5 years' PQE in defendant insurance litigation, ideally in motor vehicle property damage claims and recoveries
- A strategic mindset to complex disputes, confidently navigating court procedures and alternative dispute resolution
- Consistently deliver results that align with client objectives
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing conflicting priorities
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills with a strong client service focus=
- Excellent attention to detail
