We’re growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Trade Assistant to support our marine mechanics across day-to-day servicing, repairs, and vessel maintenance.
As a Trade Assistant, you’ll work closely with our lead marine mechanic and assist with:
- General mechanical labouring and workshop duties
- Servicing tasks (oil changes, filter replacements, cleaning components, basic disassembly/reassembly)
- Assisting with diagnostics and inspections
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas
- Picking up parts, materials, and supporting job preparation
- Ensuring safe work practices on vessels and in the workshop
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and the marine environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Automotive, diesel, marine, or similar background preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently alongside a qualified mechanic
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
- Comfortable working around boats, confined spaces, and engine rooms
- Current driver’s licence (mandatory)
- Marine experience is a bonus but not essential – training provided
- Forklift or boat licence is advantageous but not required
