Hiring Chefs
Mylk Bar are currently seeking enthusiastic & self-motivated hospitality professionals to expand our current team. With 4 locations in the City, North Adelaide & Hindmarsh we are looking for people who are passionate about hospitality.
Chefs about the role:
- To manage the operation of the kitchen, with accountability for achievement of the café’s business objectives
- To maximize revenue opportunities by both fulfilling and building upon customer's food service needs
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes in accordance with the cafe's menu, including daily specials.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with attention to detail, presentation, and taste.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards to ensure consistency.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Work closely with the manager to plan and execute special events and promotions.
- Monitor and manage food costs and portion control to minimize waste.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures.
To be considered for this position, you must-:
- have previous experience in the industry or in a similar role (at least 1 year)
- have relevant qualifications or skills
- be self-motivated, creative, confident and enthusiastic
- be a team player
- have food safety supervisor certificate
The successful candidates will support and assist our management team in day-to-day operations of the venue with a high focus on customer experience and positive team culture.
Full-time options available with a competitive salary negotiable based on experience. Availability across a 7-day roster required. Must be eligible to work in Australia.
