The Wise Foundation is looking for an experienced Café Supervisor to join our team at our café, located within ARUP's modern Brisbane CBD office.
This is a part-time position of at least 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday within the hours of 7:30am–3:30pm, with occasional evening shifts for internal events. No weekends required
We're a certified social enterprise and not-for-profit dedicated to creating employment opportunities for young people from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds through our Wise Hospitality Training Program. In partnership with ARUP, a global collective of designers, engineers and technical experts, we operate a welcoming workplace café delivering exceptional coffee and customer service while creating meaningful social impact.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the café, including:
- Leading and supporting the café team during service
- Delivering exceptional customer service to ARUP employees and visitors
- Producing consistently high-quality coffee and maintaining excellent barista standards
- Assisting with the delivery of internal corporate events
- Training and mentoring new team members, including participants in the Wise Hospitality Training Program
- Helping ensure the café operates smoothly, efficiently and to the highest standards each day
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' barista experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading or supervising a hospitality team
- Friendly, positive and professional with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A passion for mentoring and developing others
- Excellent attention to detail and a customer-first mindset
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional evening events
- Must have Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
