About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including BAS lodgements, payroll, taxation, and financial reporting. Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the company’s overall financial management
- Preparing Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Managing employee payroll and superannuation contributions
- Preparing and presenting monthly financial reports to the director and management.
- Reviewing and streamlining accounting systems and processes
- Preparing internal budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Conducting variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts
- Preparing and analysing key financial KPIs and performance metrics
- Assisting in preparing cost estimates for new products and services to support pricing decisions.
- Supporting business decision-making through financial analysis and insights
- Examining operating cost and company’s income and expenditure
- Providing financial advice on business structures, plans and operations
- Preparing financial reports for taxation purposes
- Monitoring compliance with financial regulations and standards (e.g., ATO, ASIC)
- Maintaining internal control system
What We’re Looking For:
- Has 3+ years' experience in accounting
- A very good understanding of accounting principles and Australian tax law
- Skilled in preparing monthly financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Clear and concise communication skills, with a strong command of spoken and written English
- Strong numerical and financial acumen
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Time management
- Familiarity with ERPs and/or accounting systems
- Goal-driven, organised, and detail-oriented
- Can work in a strong team environment as well as independently to complete tasks
- Action-oriented; eager to jump in and is confident in expressing their opinions

Applicant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification desirable)
- Up-to-date knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
