Painter – Sydney
Full-Time Position
Presto Homes is seeking a skilled and qualified Painter to become part of our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship across a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout the Sydney metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
Salary
A competitive salary package between $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation will be offered to the successful applicant, based on skills and experience.
About the Role
As a Painter with Presto Homes, you will be responsible for delivering professional painting and surface-finishing services to the highest industry standards. You will work across a range of projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting through washing, scraping, sanding, smoothing, and patching.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Mix and match colours to achieve accurate finishes and client satisfaction.
- Carry out painting work on walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, and other structures.
- Install, repair, and maintain interior surface finishes and wall coverings, including wallpaper applications.
- Safely erect and use ladders, planks, and other access equipment while working at heights.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, including equipment and paint preparation areas.
- Identify, handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
- Follow all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS/OHS) policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- A recognised trade qualification in Painting and Decorating.
- Relevant industry licences, tickets, or certifications, including EWP and Working at Heights (WAH).
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and safe work practices.
- The ability to work effectively within a team on large-scale projects, while also being capable of independently managing smaller jobs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Full, unrestricted working rights within Australia.
