Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
JUMP! Swim Schools Bayswater is growing, and we are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and experienced Infant Swim Teachers to join our team.
This role focuses on teaching babies and toddlers (0-3 years), delivering high-quality, gentle, and engaging lessons that build water confidence, fundamental aquatic skills, and positive parent-child experiences.
We are seeking teachers who are available:
✅ At least one weekend morning shift
✅ One or two weekday afternoon shifts (Monday-Friday)
✅ Additional shifts to cover staff leave and absences when required
This position is ideal for experienced infant teachers who love working with young children and thrive in a warm, community-focused swim school environment.

What You'll Do
- Teach 30-minute infant and toddler classes using the JUMP! Swim Schools curriculum.
- Create a calm, safe, and nurturing learning environment for babies and their parents.
- Support the development of early water skills including:
- Water confidence
- Floating
- Breath control
- Assisted movement
- Parent-child interaction and bonding
- Adapt lessons to individual developmental needs and swimmer progress.
- Communicate with parents regarding feedback, milestones, progression, and water safety.
- Maintain pool safety standards and follow all centre policies and procedures.
- Assist with attendance, class administration, and customer support when required.
Who We're Looking For: Experienced Infant Teachers
You will:
- Have experience teaching infants and toddlers (0-3 years).
- Be confident leading classes independently.
- Demonstrate excellent class management and parent communication skills.
- Be capable of mentoring and supporting less experienced team members.
- Contribute positively to program quality and team culture.
- Minimum 12 months experience teaching infant and toddler classes preferred
Required Qualifications
- Swimming & Water Safety Teacher Qualification
- Infant & Toddler Teacher Qualification
- Current CPR (HLTAID009)
- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 preferred)
- Current Working with Children Check (Victoria)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to regular weekend and afternoon availability

- Sunday: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Weekday Afternoons
- Monday to Friday: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
