Museum Officer - Clermont
An opportunity is available for a Museum Officer within our Community and Cultural Services Directorate, based in Clermont. Reporting to the Program Leader - Museums, the Museum Officer provides support in maintaining and sharing the Isaac Region’s valued history.
This role supports the day-to-day operations of the Clermont Museum and includes a combination of administrative and customer service duties, along with assisting in the preservation and display of the Isaac Region’s historical artefacts. The successful candidate will take pride in their presentation and the presentation of the museum, while also supporting community and historical record keeping, education, events, research, and content development at the site.
We are seeking an organised and motivated individual with a passion for the history and storytelling of the Isaac Region. This is the ideal opportunity for someone community minded, who thrives in a collaborative environment.
To Be successful in this position, you will:
- Possess strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive mindset toward safety improvements and best‑practice initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with other staff, members of the community and contractors.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships across teams, contributing to a collaborative and safety‑focused workplace culture.
- Have experience and knowledge with the Microsoft office suite.
- Hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
- Hold a valid Driver licence.
If you are successful in this position, you will receive:
- Salary $82,791.82 per annum (Stream A, Level Three (3))
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight (Tuesday to Saturday)
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
- Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
