We're a busy, much-loved newsagency in the heart of Noosaville — the kind of place where the regulars know your name. From lotto and magazines to gifts, cards and stationery, no two days are quite the same. You'll be part of a small, supportive team, working weekday or weekend daytime shifts (so your evenings stay yours), with full training provided so you feel confident from day one.
The Role Working around 10–15 hours per week across weekdays and weekends, you'll be the welcoming face of the store. Your day will include:
- Serving customers with a warm, professional manner
- Operating the POS and lottery terminal
- Responsibly processing lotto and gambling products (full training given)
- Handling cash and card transactions accurately
- Helping customers with gifts, cards and stationery, and suggesting extras where it suits
- Keeping shelves stocked, tidy and looking their best
- Opening and/or closing the store
About You
- Retail or newsagency experience is a bonus, but not essential — we'll teach you what you need to know. The right attitude matters most.
- A positive, honest attitude and a genuine love of helping people
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy — someone we can count on
- A clear, friendly communicator
- A quick learner who's comfortable picking up POS and terminal technology
- Able to stand for periods and help with light stock and lifting
