The Opportunity
Humes, a leader in precast concrete solutions, is seeking a high-energy, "hands-on" Production Manager to lead our Darwin operations. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring a culture of safety, and delivering high-quality infrastructure products that support the growth of the Northern Territory.
Core Responsibilities
As the Production Manager, you will be in the engine room of the facility, balancing technical oversight with people leadership. Your focus areas will include:
- Safety Leadership: Update and maintain safety management systems to ensure the health and well-being of every person on-site.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop Supervisors and Leading Hands, ensuring deep technical knowledge of Humes products and fostering a culture of competency.
- Operational Efficiency: Execute production plans that hit business targets while maximising facility throughput and managing load-out logistics.
- Quality & Compliance: Guide QA/QC staff to ensure every product meets rigorous system-based requirements and industry standards.
- Financial Accountability: Manage budgets, provide accurate forecasts, and oversee monthly stocktakes with precision.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement initiatives to lean out processes and boost productivity.
About You
