ADELAIDE PANELS is expanding and looking for an experienced Spray Painter /Prepper or Apprentice to join our specialist repair team.
We are an established Panel Repair and refinishing workshop with over 30 years of industry experience, working with dealerships, insurance companies and trade customers across Adelaide.
About the Role
You will be involved in all aspects of Spray Painting/Prepping and refinishing using industry-leading equipment and processes.
Duties Include
- Sanding, prepping and masking wheels
- Painting, colour matching and clear coating
- Quality control and final inspection
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in automotive refinishing, spray painting preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop
- Reliable and motivated team player
- Pride in producing high-quality work
- Cleaning, sanding, and masking vehicle surfaces in preparation for painting
- Mixing and matching paint colours to achieve accurate colour matching
- Using spray guns and specialised equipment to apply paint evenly and professionally
- Applying primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats
- Blending new paint into existing finishes for seamless repairs
- Carrying out touch-ups and correcting surface imperfections
- Creating specialised finishes, textures, and effects where required
- Monitoring drying and curing processes to ensure quality results
- Inspecting completed work for defects or inconsistencies
- Following all workplace safety procedures and using PPE at all times
