We're looking for a passionate and creative Digital Communications Specialist to join our Communications team at our Sydney Head Office on Clarence Street.
Reporting to the Communications & Brand Manager, you'll play a key role in bringing our stories to life, strengthening employee engagement, supporting strategic business priorities, and helping build the reputation of Heidelberg Materials Australia and our associated brands.
This is a fabulous opportunity for a skilled communicator who enjoys creating engaging content, connecting with stakeholders across the business, and delivering campaigns that inspire, inform and engage.
- Develop engaging communications that connect employees to company priorities, initiatives and key business updates.
- Create content for Workvivo, newsletters, presentations, leadership communications and employee campaigns.
- Support employee engagement, culture and recognition initiatives across the business.
- Coordinate communication calendars and maintain consistency across internal channels.
- Identify and develop compelling stories from across our operations, projects and people.
- Produce articles, employee profiles, campaign content, videos and project updates for internal and external audiences.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to uncover success stories and content opportunities.
- Maintain a pipeline of engaging content aligned to business priorities.
- Support business transformation and change initiatives through effective communication planning and delivery.
- Develop key messages, communication plans, presentations, FAQs and support materials.
- Assist with feedback collection and continuous improvement of communication activities.
- Coordinate communications for national campaigns, events and employee recognition programs.
- Support initiatives including Safety Week, Sustainability Week, National Safe Work Month and leadership events.
- Assist with promotional materials, stakeholder engagement and post-event communications.
- Work collaboratively with digital communications specialists to maximise content reach across web, social media and employer branding channels.
- Support brand consistency through templates, tools, governance and communication standards.
- Monitor engagement metrics and assist with reporting and campaign analysis.
You're an energetic communicator who enjoys turning complex information into engaging stories and meaningful employee experiences.
- 3-5 years' experience in communications, employee engagement, public relations, marketing communications or a related discipline.
- Degree or qualification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field is desirable.
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or other operational industries will be highly regarded.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to develop engaging content across multiple channels and formats.
- Experience using digital communication tools, intranet platforms and social media channels.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with an understanding of engagement metrics and communication effectiveness.
