About Zedkon
Zedkon is a commercial construction and fitout company delivering projects across NSW for tier-1 clients, including large-scale retail and commercial tenancies. We're looking for a reliable and experienced supervisor to lead our night shift operations.
About the Role
We need a hands-on Construction Supervisor to run night shift works across our project sites. You'll be managing trades, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to spec. Night works are critical on our live-environment projects where daytime access is restricted, so you need to be someone who thrives in that setting and can manage a crew independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades during night shift operations
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Manage daily progress, identify delays, and escalate issues as required
- Enforce WHS requirements on site — toolbox talks, permits, SWMS compliance, housekeeping
- Complete daily site reports and progress records
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics for night works
- Communicate effectively with the day shift team and project management for seamless handovers
- Manage site access, security, and after-hours protocols
- Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience supervising commercial construction or fitout projects
- Proven experience running night shift operations
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills — you'll be the senior person on site after hours
- Self-motivated and able to make decisions independently
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Current driver's licence
Desirable
- Trade qualification (carpentry preferred) — we value supervisors who can jump in and work alongside the crew when needed
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction
- Experience on retail/commercial fitout projects in live trading environments
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience with project management platforms (e.g. HammerTech, Procore)
- Forklift, EWP, or other relevant plant licences
This Role Would Suit Someone Who
- Is confident coordinating trades and managing multiple activities on a live site
- Thrives working independently in a fast-paced, after-hours environment
- Is hands-on and happy to pick up tools alongside the crew when needed
- Takes ownership of their work and holds subcontractors to a high standard
- Communicates well with subbies, consultants, and the day shift team to keep handovers seamless
- Is proactive, organised, and stays ahead of what's coming next on the programme
- Is looking for long-term career growth within a growing construction company
What We Offer
- Competitive salary plus night shift penalties
- Full-time permanent position
- Work on high-profile commercial projects
- Supportive team environment with direct access to senior management
- Opportunity for career progression within a growing company
Immediate start preferred — position available from early August 2026.
