We are seeking a motivated Security Adviser to join our Physical Security Management team.
As a Security Adviser, you will operate and maintain a range of high-security electronic systems to manage and control access to ATO sites, facilities, and sensitive information. You’ll be working closely with internal stakeholders and security partners, you will help safeguard the integrity of security systems and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
In this role, you will monitor security events, identify and investigate security incidents, and escalate breaches or irregularities as required. You will support incident response activities and assist in the coordination of appropriate security measures to mitigate risks.
You will be responsible for preparing operational reports, maintaining accurate security records and databases, analysing security-related data, and providing administrative support for physical security operations. You’ll also help ensure compliance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and ATO security policies and procedures while delivering professional and responsive customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors.
Additionally, you may contribute to access control reviews, security audits, site inspections, and the implementation of security improvements. Through these activities, you will support the ongoing enhancement of the organisation’s physical security capability. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgement, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform confidently in a dynamic operational environment.
This role requires onsite attendance five days per week due to the need to access secure systems, handle classified information, and manage high security systems for the ATO.
These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Canberra or Wollongong.
