The Sydney Business and Travel Academy (SBTA) and The Sydney English Language Academy (SELA) are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development & Sales Support team member to join our Brisbane Campus on a casual basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, meeting people, and promoting education programs within the international education sector.
About Us
SBTA and SELA have been delivering quality education and training for over 40 years and are recognised providers of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and English Language (ELICOS) programs for domestic and international students.
About the Role
The primary focus of this role is to support the growth of student enrolments by developing and maintaining relationships with education agents and industry partners throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas.
The successful applicant will spend approximately 2–3 days per week visiting education agents, promoting SBTA and SELA programs, attending networking events, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit education agents and maintain regular contact with existing partners
- Develop relationships with prospective education agents and referral partners
- Promote SBTA and SELA courses, pathways, and student services
- Conduct presentations and information sessions for agents and prospective students
- Follow up enquiries and support student recruitment activities
- Assist with marketing campaigns and promotional activities
- Attend networking events, exhibitions, and industry functions
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and recruitment opportunities
- Prepare visit reports and maintain accurate records of agent interactions
- Support the Brisbane Campus team with business development initiatives
Selection Criteria
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Must be fluent in Spanish
- Confident presenting to individuals and groups
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
- Previous experience in sales, business development, marketing, student recruitment, or international education will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of the international education sector is desirable but not essential

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
