Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
The Team & Role
The Infusion Centre delivers a range of same day services such as blood and iron infusions, medication infusions, small procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. The service operates from 0800 - 1630 Monday - Friday and is closed on public holidays. There is a capacity of 10 recliner chairs and 2 beds plus seating capacity for transiting patients. Currently there are approximately 250 patient contacts per month.
The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for overall leadership and management ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient centred care, and management of risk. Key responsibilities include the coordination of referrals, managing service demand efficiently and supervision of nursing, clerical and PSA staff.

Skills & Experience Required
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
Demonstrated performance in a nursing leadership or management role preferably within the acute sector.
Supports individuals and the team, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
Identifies and responds appropriately to organisational directives and priorities.
Clearly and confidently communicates with key contacts and welcomes constructive feedback.
Accepts responsibility for own actions
Seeks all relevant information for problem solving
Identifies and supports where necessary the need for change.
Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
Uses a range of software application features for word processing, spread sheets etc.
Current Victorian driver’s license
